Oscar this is ralph bakshi ive just found your site sorry and i am stunned by your brillance in drawing --in two days you taught me more then 70 years --drawing and line are every thing we who come out of the 50s know this ---drawing on different kinds of papers is more important than animation thanks ralph

Hey, Ralph!...So nice to hear from you. You may not remember but we met in London in the seventies, at the time you were about to start "The Lord of the Rings"...I went to visit you at your hotel with Bob Godfrey. You are an amazing artist, so, don't bullshit me, man! All the best and keep up the good work.

Yeah, of course I know very well Cuevas. I came accross his work in the early sixties, when his Kafka Metamorphosis' illustrations were first published. I read his early autobiography and he said that he prefered boxers rather to artists. Nonetheless....Amen to that! apart from Steinberg and Picasso, my greatest influence always was the Hungarian artist Lajos Szalay. A breathtaking pen artist! All the best, Ralph!
